Welcome to the fortieth issue of the Shield – and the last of the 2015-2016 school year!
This issue is tinged with a particular bittersweet note, for when the Shield returns in the fall of this year, most of its founding staff and many of its most recognizable voices will be off at their various new educational institutions.
But this issue is also a symbol that the Shield is here to stay – note that members of the classes of 2017, 2018 and 2019 all contributed articles below. We’re looking at moving to new and (hopefully) fancier digs soon, but otherwise, we will always remain the same Shield you’ve been reading since the fall of 2013.
Enjoy!

From the Publisher
We’re always looking for new writers – sports, technology, video games, news, what have you, we’d be glad to have you on board! Just drop us a line. Any and all questions about becoming part of the staff, submitting an article, or the Shield in general, can be directed to the strange creature that lives in Room 252 and answers to “the Morales.”
Until next time, this is the Shield.
